Will my relationship work if I earn a good amount of money and my partner is on benefits living with his grandmother? We used to live together but he doesn't like spending money and wants to move in with his Grandmother and live rent free, but every time we meet up or go anywhere it will be me expected to pay. I don't mind paying my share, but I don't know if it's worth putting my life on hold for a year while he finds his "dream job" as he plans to take a year out, I am 26 and thinking about having a family, but am I wasting time with this man?

If his desire to not work is stronger than his desire to live with you and pay half the bills like a grownup it's definitely not looking good for the near future. But maybe he'll get his act together eventually. Whether to wait around to see if that happens is entirely up to you.
Partner is on benefits and living with his grandmother. Doesn't like spending money. Expects you to pay. How many red flags do you need? Not a good long-term prospect.
