I know he left the image of the Cross before us to let men know what true love really means.....but why leave us the image of him walking on water....OK Bible scholars there got to be a reason in the Old......Jesus said the reason is written in Matthew.....I wonder where....

It's a mistake. He didn't walk on water, he passed wster
Water wiped out the sinful and corrupt, ante antediluvian (pre-flood) world. Jesus, who has power and dominion over all things, including water, also has the power to overcome Satan, sin and death.
What "images"? We didn't see the crucifixion or see him walking on water.
Jesus showed us the power of faith. He tells us several times we could do what he did, or even greater things, with faith. Which we can see - Peter walked on water too, until his faith wavered, and Jesus had to save him.
I WOULD SAY THAT THE IMAGE OF WALKING ON WATER ENCOURAGES US TO REMEMBER THAT THE RESURRECTION OF HIS PEOPLE WILL HAPPEN.
THOSE THAT TEACH THAT THE RESURRECTION HAS ALREADY HAPPENED TEACH HERESY. THEY THEN QUOTE 2TIM 2:18 WHICH SHOWS THEY ARE LYING AND TRYING TO DESTROY PEOPLES FAITH.
But shun vain babblings like Hymeneaus and Philetus "Who concerning the TRUTH have ERRED, saying that the Resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some."
As a reminder to keep our eyes affixed on Jesus during the "storms" of our lives. Like Peter, if we look away from Jesus and at our troubles, then we too may "sink."
Matthew 14:27-32 KJV — But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
His true love really means that there has to be the damned or else He would have never had to die for the ones He loved. Or they would have never had a choice in the first place and there would be just robots. Make your choice or choose both.
