If a Christian stops being a Christian, he most likely will lose his salvation. God does not expect us to be perfect, but he does expect us to live the life of a Christian and if we choose, become God’s friend, like Abraham was. “Once saved, always saved” is not a quote from the Bible!
Salvation saves you from your sins. If you still sin then you do not have salvation. There is not excuse for your deliberate sin. And they keep saying I can still get born again...lol
There is no such thing as "Unconditional Eternal Security!"
There's no such thing as 'OSAS.' A race is set before us and we are expected to comply with the rules and finish it [Hebrews 12:1]; [2 Thessalonians 4:7, 8].
[Hebrews 10:38-39] But My righteous one will live by faith; and if he shrinks back, I will take no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. [Hebrews 6:4-6].
Scripture also teaches that if we fall away, He will not remember our good works or righteousness anymore. [Ezekiel 18:23]. No wonder Paul, cautioned us not to quench the Spirit [1 Thessalonians 5:19].
Many will quote [Romans 8:38–39] But they should read it in context: 'There is no external force that can pluck us out of God's hands or relax His grip on us, except ourselves.' Our choice is voluntary. No deception is used, and no compulsion of any kind. God never coerced a creature’s will, and He never will, even to save him.

Annsan/Paul,
Some will quote [Philippians 1:6] "Being confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it." THIS IS TRUE! However, The Bible does not say that God will finish or perfect what WE have started, right Annsan (our Fragile Hell Recruiter) AND Paul (our Snake Smart Biologist)? There is a reward, though [Revelation 22:18].
"How" will God perfect the billions of years added to His Creation Week? Why did God warn the Churches in the Book of Revelation (shouldn't they be safe and secure)?
Let's recap: "He that overcometh," -- That is, he that is overcoming, he that daily maintains the combat, though he has not yet obtained a perfect conquest over his spiritual enemies, yet he keeps the field with sword in hand, resolving never to throw down his weapon, but to die as a conqueror, rather than be taken a prisoner. Listen now... "He shall inherit all things."
The one who believes in the Son has eternal life, but the one who disobeys the Son will not see life. Instead, the wrath of God remains on him [John 3:36]. [Romans 11:21] For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
Salvation belongs to God. We are saved as long as we remain in the race [1 Corinthians 9:24]. <No longer in the race, no longer saved> Paul, made even Timothy's salvation conditional upon perseverance. [1 Timothy 4:15-16].
P.S. I will drop the 'pet names' the minute you come around.
48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; 49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
"Once saved always saved" is a major oversimplification. However, God is the one that saves someone, He is the one that sanctifies them, He is the one that perseveres them. God gets all the glory and all of the credit for a person's salvation. If credit for a person's perseverance could go to them, even the tiniest little spec, that would rob God of His glory.
No, a Christian cannot lose his or her salvation, because they did nothing to earn it. If a Christian could lose their salvation, they would most likely lose it a picosecond after "earning" it.
No, once a person is saved, he/she cannot lose salvation. However, no-one is saved until they enter Heaven. The idea that a person still alive on Earth can be "already saved" is one of the more dangerous false beliefs dreamed up by Protestants within the past couple of hundred years. A Protestant pastor who has served his church for many years leaves his wife and runs off with his secretary. The people of his church say, "gee, I guess he was never truly saved". Right! And neither is anyone else on Earth. While on Earth we either remain on the road to salvation, or wander off it. And we can do either of those at any point in our life, regardless of what we have done before.
How secure are God's promises about salvation? Hebrews 7:25- "Therefore, Jesus is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." Romans 11:11 &23- "Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! ...And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." Romans 10:9-1 - "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved... for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ...No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:35-39
Having truly believed in God's only means of salvation, and confessed your faith in that One, you will never be forsaken or rejected. As Christians are assured in Philippians 1:6, they can be confident that "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Also, "May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it." 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
Much misunderstanding on the subject of whether God's salvation can be lost would be cleared up if people just studied the subject in the Bible. Then they would realize the three-fold aspect of salvation, as succinctly explained by John Stott:
"I have been saved - in the past - from the penalty of sin - by a crucified Saviour.
I am being saved - in the present - from the power of sin - by a living Saviour.
I shall be saved - in the future - from the presence of sin - by a coming Saviour."
When God chooses a person for salvation, their legal standing before Him is changed in a moment - He justifies them, and then salvation works out as explained above. A person whom God has justified can never lose His salvation. Individuals like Judas Iscariot were chosen for a purpose but were never justified because they never had saving faith in God's only means of salvation.

They can lose it if they are a total idiot.
