the red eye will be better in clear water (no or few obstructions) while the square bill on the other makes it ideal for fishing in timber where the bill helps the lure to bounce off of obstructions with few hang-ups. the floating factor will also help it to float free from some hang-ups.

I prefer squarebills made by Norman or Bomber.
