When will I get paid if I’m paid on a monthly basis?
Hello, I start my new job on May 13th. I’m paid on a monthly basis. I’m a little confused on the pay date.
This was on my offer letter: “ You will be paid an annual salary of $ USD Compensation will occur monthly on the 5th of every month.
Does this mean I’ll be paid on the 5th of each month? Since I’m starting in the middle of the month, will I only get paid for three weeks? Since I’ll start on the second week of May.

even if you get paid for the 3 wks, you'll get the rest of it later on
Look at the number of days you will work from the 13th to then of the month. Then count all work days. 15/23 of your monthly rate should be your gross befote deductions and taxes.

Uh, yes. that's what it says. You won't get paid a whole month on June 5 - maybe 3 weeks - or could be less or more - ask your supervisor when the pay period ends
