I’ve been learning Japanese for about 3 years and I have an enormous vocabulary, but I still have really hard time reading Japanese. I love reading so I want to able to read stuff, and since I only about 370 Kanji I feel like a child in the Japanese language. I’m getting little frustrated. :(
I’m not going to give up Japanese just yet, but I want to see if I like learning Korean (or maybe another language) more. And since Hangul is super easy and I really love dramas and music, I’m thinking that I might.
I’m starting from scratch again, so I have no idea what learning products like books, CDs or apps are the most helpful or correct.
I’ve been watching Korean dramas, and listening to Kpop. So that’s a baby step. ^^
(I want to live in another country and teach English. Also I want to be fluent so I can be helpful and a positive influence for my students. And Japan and South Korea are very safe counties.)

^ Very helpful site!
And once you get hangul down, I would practice singing along with K-Pop songs by reading only the hangul, not the romanization. And sometimes maybe you can practice typing the lyrics to a new K-Pop song in hangul. Both those things helped me a lot in getting faster in reading, writing and understanding hangul. You said you watch dramas, while you watch, try and see if you can understand any words a few times without looking at the subtitles.
Look up vocab lists for Korean and study them, too.
This site also helped me a lot: learnkoreanlanguage.com/learn-korean-beginners.html
If you really want, you can get the Rosetta Stone for Korean.
This (http://www.infocobuild.com/language/korean/korean.... ) brings a collection of online resources for learning Korean, such as study stuff on Hangul, grammar lessons, vocabulary and useful expressions. I hope they can help learn basic Korean.
