My Gyno won’t tell me my Pap smear results over the phone.?
I got a call from the Gyno yesterday saying my pap results came in and I needed to make an appointment to discuss the results and possible treatment options. I’m kind of freaking out about it because she said “possible treatment options” so I must have SOMETHING. Has anyone else had an experience like this before? I thought normally if it came back abnormal they’d just do more tests but it sounds like they don’t think they need anymore tests.

You need to stop worrying. Many Drs do not give the results of a pap smear over the phone. Saying that he will discuss treatment options may be an unfortunate choice of words
Stop and just go to the dr. It can be anything from an infection, to precancer or even cancer. Cervical cancer is one of the MOST treatable.
Stop worrying and go find somethign else to do until you go.
Generally the purpose of pap test is to early detection of changes in cervical cell that suggest the possibility of development of cancer in future.
It is possible she will check you again in the light of report, and then discuss the treatment for your trouble for which you had this test. so there is nothing to worry.
