If due to religion purposes then yes a church, although this is EXPENSIVE.
If you simply need a marriage legal go to a mayor or justice of the peace and have this notarized and witnessed with all ( both spouses involved ) documentation .
IMO it does not matter where someone is married .
What matters is if this is legal and notarized by the government.
Lawd, Lawd... It's traditional to get married in a church. I guess that's a good thing. On the other hand having it there usually costs money as well as money for the reception hall. If you have the wedding at the reception hall too you cut the costs of the church out. However, what happens after you say I do, wherever that may be is far more important!

I have my first wedding in a church and my second wedding in a hotel banquet hall.
It is nice to have it in the sanctuary of the church and around all the symbolic statements of the church such as the cross etc... I don't really see any bad points unless you can't reserve to have your ceremony on that particular day. Unless the church is too small and you find it cheaper to have everything in one place.
My opinion is if you can have a wedding in a church and you are a member of it then do it. If it all plans out right and budget right. Good luck.
If it's what you want and it's a reflection of you, go for it. If you don't really want to do it but feel like you have to, find a different venue. A church ceremony is wonderful if you're traditional and/or religious, a beach/park/ballroom/etc is a great venue if it's what you want and reflects who you are as a couple.
While I wouldn't have a problem getting married in a church ceremony, I'd rather have a more casual ceremony at the beach. My husband and I are not into the usual pomp-and-circumstance. We feel a little uncomfortable with all that formality!
I got married through civil court and it all still the very same. But the only reason we didn't get married through the Church is cause we weren't financially stable at that time, I'm sure sometime in the future we will get married through the Church. I think Church weddings are very beautiful.

I think it's beautiful! I want to get married in the church (i got married at a courthouse) that I grew up in. One day I willâ¥
It was important for us because we are both active in our religious beliefs and we wanted to be married in the presence of God.
It is a personal thing so do what is right for you. The main differences are financially and spiritually for most couples.
good points or bad points depending on how you look at it.
pre marriage councling is required at a lot of places. Some traditional things could be done by preist.
my opinion is it's not for me. i like nature and out doors. not stuck in some building where people banish their sins!
it just depends on the type of person you are. i personally do not believe in god so i wouldn't
ever get married in a church. i don't think it's needed unless you are a religious person.
In my opinion it doesnt really matter where you get married.
