You can't. If they want you to convert they'll have to give you the exchange rate. In the meantime you can check it on any currency converter website, like this one:
Exchange rates fluctuate all the time, so when you supply a rate, you should state when that rate was valid. In an exam, they might tell you that the rate was 1 GBP = 1.18725 EUR, so if they ask you to convert £48, you just take 48 x 1.18725 to give 56.9878 EUR
