So, I’m just starting to date again. So we had are 1st date and he kissed me goodnight and planned for another date. I texted him right away about how I had fun on the date and according to my research I should have let him text me 1st. I don’t wanna seem needy or desperate. I try not to text right away.Tonight are convo finished with him saying goodnight. So I’m worried about sounding desperate. So I was thinking to let him text me 1st tomorrow or should I just text him anyways?!?! Idk what I’m doing and could use some guidance. lol thanks!

You have done nothing wrong in letting him know you had a good time. If anything you did the right thing because guys rely on vibes to guide them and to let them know that you are enjoying the things that they are doing for you so that they know to continue. What you don't want to be doing is sending text after text to him in a short space of time. Chances are that this guy is giving you space as well so as not to come on too strong as well. If all went well on the first date then he should ask you out for a second. Moreover, if you are feeling confident you could plan something as well!
