Living in a beach house & driving a mercedes = happiness.
Living in a cardboard house & eating cat food = abject poverty.
If my definition of happiness is not having to worry about shelter or food, then i agree that money does bring happiness.
Sure, money won't necessarily bring you human companionship or friendship, but I don't think that can be directly correlated to money. What I mean is, you don't need money to have friends... it depends on your personality and social skills.
It means that happiness can't be bought. You could be the richest person in the world, and still not be happy. Money is a worldly thing that buys other worldly things. It doesn't fill voids like loneliness, lack of fulfillment, etc.
I disagree. And I also know that money can buy love. I have 8 beautiful loving dogs that I would kill to protect. Money bought them and they love me because I did.
MONEY CAN'T BUY YOU HAPPINESS WHEN YOU ARE DIEING, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU HAVE IT CAN'T EVEN BUY LOYALTY. IT CAN ALLOW YOU TO BE COMFORTABLY MISERABLE.
