Pease help i dont understand this
OK
The key is always to get the radical out of the denominator. So....
(sqrt6 +1) / (sqrt6 -2) ; multiply the top and bottom by sqrt 6 +2
(sqrt6 +1)(sqrt6 +2) / (sqrt6 -2)(sqrt6 +2) ; now you will get the radical out of the denominator
6 +sqrt6 + 2sqrt6 +2 / 6 - 4
8 + 3sqrt6 / 2
Now -- let's try to prove it:
Use sqrt6 = 2.4495
2.4495+1 / 2.4495 -2
= 3.4495 /.4495
= 7.674
8 + 3(2.4495) /2
= 8 + 7.3485 /2
=15.3485/2
=7.674
Hope that helps.
â(6+1)/â6-2) = â7/2 or 1.3228
