This is a poll/question, that's mostly based off of pure curiosity. ♡
Here are my questions for you, if you want to answer.
♡ #1 - What draws you to answer questions about religion?
♡ #2 - Are you rude or abrasive when answering questions about religion?
♡ #3 - Do you respect other people's beliefs?
♡ #4 - Do you stand firm in your beliefs or are you open minded?
♡ #5 - How often do you answer questions on Y!A in the religion and spiritually section?
And, my FAVORITE question of all.
Atheists are people who believe that there is no after life, that there is no proof any other way; and being an atheist is literally having no religion, correct?
So...
♡ #6 - If you're an atheist, why do you go around bashing religions (including Christianity) frequently? (PLEASE DO NOT GET ME WRONG: NOT ALL ATHEISTS BASH OTHER RELIGIONS, THERE ARE PLENTY OF KIND, RESPECTFUL ATHEISTS THAT RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S BELIEFS BUT JUST STAND FIRM IN HOW THEY FEEL) Please don't take that as a rude generalization. But, I do see that a lot. Maybe it's just on this website?
A lot of atheists compare God to santa claus or some fake character.
If that was the case, why do you spend so much free time bashing something that you think is so clearly ridiculous? I don't spend time bashing things that I think are ridiculous or pointless, it's like... a waste of typing... or talking, or time. There's no point.

I'm going to stay completely neutral and just observe everyone's answer.
Everyone has a tendency to say something a bit more rude than they'd usually say or the internet so I hope that you all can find it in your heart to give me a GENUINE answer to all of these questions.
Not just what looks or sounds good; how you REALLY feel about the subject. I look forward to and CHERISH each answer. Post your beliefs and opinions. ♡

1. It's entertaining. Like feeding monkeys.
2. Usually- most questions are posted by trolls, you see.
3. I respect their right to have opposing beliefs, however I tend to not respect religious beliefs themselves though. I think they are superstitions, and modern humans are ready to let go of those fantasies.
4. My beliefs are subject to change when convincing evidence presents itself.
5. I'll go nearly every day for a month or so, then take a few months off...
6. I keep my Christian bashing here, and not all Christians deserve to be bashed. When they use their dogma as an excuse for their homophobia, or to infringe on people's rights, or to try to have creationism taught as a science in public schools, that's where I start swinging.
7. Belief in Santa Claus or other mythical beings don't usually end up in people dying of negligence, or getting raped or molested, or beaten up, or tortured to death, or cause wars.

1. Religion and the history of humanity
are inextricably entwined. I am drawn
to both subjects, as they give a great
deal of insight into what and how people
think (and have thought over time).
2. Not usually, but I can be rather
opinionated about certain aspects
of religion and its impact on people.
I am also irreverent on occasion,
which doesn't always go over well
with some people.
3. No. I have respect for human
beings - not ideologies.
4. I can be open minded, but
like most people I have limits.
However, I'm extremely unlikely
to change my stance as an atheist.
5. I've been a regular on R&S for
six years. I don't spend anywhere
near the time I used to here, but
I still get about 2-300 points/week.
6. You are sadly misinformed about
atheists. Atheism is merely not
believing in gods/goddesses.
However, there are religious atheists -
such as those who follow Eastern
Religions, etc. - all of whom may
believe in an afterlife.
As for "bashing" Christianity, or any
religion, I'm guessing you know
nothing about the history of religion.
However, since you asked... I don't
feel as though I bash religions. I may
be opinionated about them, and
obviously that doesn't set well with
those who are religious, but I'm not
crying over them screaming their
bull about atheists. The world is a
two-way street.
An interesting question, Morgan.
(I appreciate you staying neutral; that is a hard thing to do.)

My answers:
Note: Usually i don't answer anything that is trolling, hateful, argumentative, slamming, not really wanting an answer but is just sounding off. I usually answer those questions that are sincere, whatever their reason for asking it. Sometimes i will answer a hateful question if i believe that clarifying a misunderstanding might help the asker with his/her negative feelings about Jesus Christ and What He teaches, etc
♡ #1 - What draws you to answer questions about religion?
. A1) I believe i am able to help people the most here ... or atleast i try to.
♡ #2 - Are you rude or abrasive when answering questions about religion?
. A2) I take great care not to be rude, abrasive, or abusive in my answers, especially if i need to convey an idea or concept that might hurt or offend in some way. And if there is a question that "pushed my hot buttons", i will either not answer it or take time to pray about how to answer it and to cool off before coming back to it.
♡ #3 - Do you respect other people's beliefs?
. A3) I try to respect people and their beliefs even if i disagree with them and address the reasons that i disagree with them
♡ #4 - Do you stand firm in your beliefs or are you open minded?
. A4) It depends on the situation. In some areas i am open-minded while in others i am not; there is a saying that is common among Christians, "Don't be so open minded that your brains pour out". If i disagree with someone and won't change that belief that i have (usually because it is something Jesus Christ is definite about rather than my own personal opinion), i still try to understand what he/she is feeling and struggling with and try to respond to that need and concern instead.
. Just one quick example would be the subject of homosexuality/lesbianism. Jesus Christ is definite that male and female homosexuality is a sin ---- however, Jesus Christ does not hate homosexuals the way some people say ... nor is homosexuality a sin that He can't forgive .... nor is it a worse sin than heterosexual sin and other sins ...... and i AGGRESSIVELY oppose any hate and violence aimed at homosexuals/lesbians and i work to understand their pain and struggles and try to answer those whenever and wherever i can.
.
♡ #5 - How often do you answer questions on Y!A in the religion and spiritually section?.
. A5) about 5 times a week, but i usually only answer about 2 each time i log-on ... especially since i take such care and diligence when i answer a question.
And, my FAVORITE question of all.
Atheists are people who believe that there is no after life, that there is no proof any other way; and being an atheist is literally having no religion, correct?
. A6) I believe that Atheism is a religious belief ... it is just one that believes that there is no God/gods/etc. (dependent upon the individual person's beliefs). In Sociological and Religious Studies, it is considered a religion, too ...... just one that doesn't believe in God/gods.
. As all religious beliefs affect our perception of life and our world, Atheism does, too.

I hope that helps your poll, Morgan.
It is an excellent series of challenging questions.
I will check back to see if you have any follow-up questions.
I look forward to reading the answers you will be receiving.
Would i be alright with you if i added you to the people i am praying for?
You have a super day, Morgan !!!!!!!!! :-)

1. I don't expect to change the minds of non-Christians. If something hits home, I'm glad. I'm mainly here to correct the misinterpretations and misconceptions people -- including Christians -- have about the Bible, thanks to the mess that is denominationalism.
2. I don't think I'm rude to people (certainly not in that infantile "your invisible god is stoopid" way). People who make reference to the Bible without knowing what it says or means probably do think I'm a jerk, though. Who knows...?
3. I respect other peoples' beliefs, and I respect the right of Christians, in particular, to believe in denominationalism, but I do feel compelled to correct Biblical misconceptions in conversation and the like when they do come up.
4. I do stand firm on my beliefs.
5. I've been here fairly often for the past week or so, but beyond that I hadn't been around for months.
6. Not an atheist, and I don't get the whole "God isn't real, and I'm not going anywhere after death, so you're delusional if you think you are" obsession, either. As you say, they dedicate a lot of time to bashing something they don't believe in.
Because someone has to educate Christians about their own Bible. Most of them haven't a clue because they have never read it. I come hear for the laughs, but there is always a Christians who says something really stupid.
" Are you rude or abrasive when answering questions about religion?"
I answer in kind, so if an as$hole asks a question I respond in their own language so they might understand.
Believers can be an arrogant bunch, because they think a contrary opinion to theirs is being rude and abrasive. I answer questions honestly, so if someone asks a question about what I think of God, or the Bible I say that he is imaginary and I think the Bible is a big load of BS. It is my right to have my OWN opinion even if it differs from delusional people, so they they can grow a set and realize that everyone doesn't have to agree with their delusion and if they don't agree it doesn't mean they are being "rude or abrasive". It means they are being honest. Why do believers ask question if they only want answers that tell them what they want to hear?
Does it somewhat topic what number of Jehovah's witnesses are on here? I want to appreciate why you assault our leaders as you position it? Do you even understand some thing about our company? Why are humans who've dedicated their lives to Jehovah's work useful of your assault? Don't you understand that the bible tells us that inside the final days there can be humans such as you on this planet? Would not this worry you in any respect? I very a lot doubt that you can become aware of a specific Jehovah's witness on right here an effective way to cut back themselves ample to make use of impolite and foul language. Our beliefs indicate that we wouldn't do that. As for actual jehovah's witnesses believing in the holy trinity.... Well that wouldn't happen. The two concepts do not go hand in hand. Maybe you must chat to considered one in all us to detect what we principally do not forget and the position we get our skills from. JEHOVAH GOD WILL help people that search to seek out HIM :)
1. Kool to hear other opinions.
2. Not rude.
3. Yesh. Unless they are violent.
4. I am open minded
5. Every 3 days.
6. Not Atheist
tbh I don't that much. This place isn't the best site on the internet for religious discussion. I've actually had better conversations(and yes actual conversations) about it on 4chan.
Because I need to learn how to type on the keyboard so I can find a better Job
I try to educate people about Christianity.
