I think you should play Pokemon black i think it's the better game.

heart gold.the pokemon are cooler,the starters are usefull,it has 16 badges,red,team rocket,pokemon follows you,you have a huge choise of pokemon to make a team and there is a perfect mix of new things and nostalgia from the original gold/silver.

black is...ok.

If it were me I would just go with black then go back to heart gold without the poke walker. I personally prefer black over gold. But ya know what they say, once you go black you never go back x)
