New (to me) Monitor. I have just bought a recon. Monitor, a 19" as I was finding my original Dell 17" a bit small. This is also a Dell?
and virtually the same as my 17" Monitor, other than size. I'm finding it rather 'bright' (could just be because of the increased size). There are 3 buttons along the bottom of the screen, on the right side, plus the on off button. I've tried hitting the minus and plus buttons and that brings up a notice showing 3 options, Exit, Brightness (showing 100%) and Contrast (also showing 100%). However, I don't know how to activate these options as the curser won't go onto the notice. I had my 17" monitor for years, and never had the need to alter settings.
Help please.
Update:Ah, I just managed to get it sorted - thanks.... I seem to have moved the brightness down from 100% to 90% ........ And now I can't do it, again !

One of the three is for turning on the menu. Another is for up and another for down. When the menu is on, use up or down to navigate. The one for turning on the menu is also used for selecting the menu item after you navigate to it with up and down (which can also go left or right). What you want is to lower brightness by just a little bit.
