My girlfriend is depressed and I’m wondering if this would offend her?
A little over a year ago she tried to commit suicide, and I’ve noticed the last few weeks she has been getting back into a depression slump. Today she opened up to me and told me she’s feeling extremely depressed. I normally leave my gun with the clip in it next to our bed, whether I am at work or not. With my work hours she’s home alone for a few hours every day. I want to put my gun lock on it however I’m not sure if it would just offend her or if she would understand.

Would you rather keep her safe and "offend her" or have something bad happen to her because you didn't lock up your gun. Either get rid of the gun or lock it up.

If she’s always depress around you. It’s you she doesn’t want around her. I think you made her miserable.
She should understand, and if not now, she will understand when she gets better. Lock it, and get help. Good luck.
