Oh well .. his idea of "in love" has NOTHING to do with real love.
In fact, "in love" IS temporary and never lasts.
Real love doesn't even start to grow until you two have been living together as partners for at least 2-3 years, and takes another 20 years to develop. So what you two feel can only be infatuation which is not love at all and never lasts.
As for guys, what the young ones "love" about women is her body. So one body is easily replaced with another body. And when his infatuation dies out for his new gf, he will ditch her and fall "in love" with someone else in 3 days.
