I use Mozilla Firefox.
It seems with their recent update, I lost the “go back” icon [upper left corner]. Thus, I cannot read previous pages of my emails.
How can I restore a previous version of Mozilla Firefox which has the “go back” icon?
Or how can I “go back” with my current version of Mozilla Firefox.
Update:Thx for your responses! I feel guilty choosing best answers. But, I'll give you a thumbs-up! And add you as a contact [tell me if I can].

Here are some keyboard shortcuts
To go back = Alt + Left arrow
Forward = Alt + Right arrow
Address bar = Alt + D
Search Bar = Ctrl + E
To change search engines = Ctrl + Up or Down arrow
So a back button is really not necessary
Open Firefox. Right click on some empty toolbar space (like after the Help menu item there's plenty of such space for you to use) and from the context menu that shows-up select "Customise..."
You will then have a window with many buttons, find the one representing the back (you should have in fact one with both back and forward arrows) and drag it to the desired position in the navigation toolbar. Once the object set in pace you can close the customisation window.
P.S. When a solution is confirmed to have solved the problem you should select it as best answer. Otherwise the voting goes the wrong way and those reading here would find some weird answer selected as best.
Try this:
1. Open Firefox normally.
2. Go to View >> Toolbars >> Customize
3. To restore your forward and back button then click the “Restore default set” button on the newly opened window.
If this fix is only temporary, try method 2 as outlined below:

It should still be there (with < inside the circle). If you miss all navigation bar then you have to choose it from View/Toolbars/Navigation Toolbar. If just missing the Back (again, < inside circle), right click next to the icon for Next or Refresh, then go Customize and choose the Back icon from there.
Or right click the page and choose Back.
Restore your system to date at which you updated firefox. Or just download firefox from website. The file is just the size of hardly 8 mb.
file, print. It's not hard really.
