Just got an Orange Mobile phone and my credit's dropped by about £1.50 without me ringing anyone?
at least not anyone who answered - except customer services 450 & 453. First it dropped by 50p then by about 25p. Does it cost to ring customer services? otherwise I can't imagine how it got used.
If u have a smart phone it could be eating up your credit if you never selected a Internet/email option. Blackberrys are the worst for this but it's not limited to that brand. Calling Orange isn't free on pay as you go it is a connection charge to talk to someone.
To get it sorted you should head to an orange store they would be able to tell you why in any case, or let you use their store phone to call Orange customer care.
A further note to one of the other answers;
On T-Mobile, (and probably orange since they are the same company), you are not charged for calls from the moment you dial the number the person on the other end has to answer. If you are transferred to a persons voicemail it counts as an answer.
One thing about mobile phones is that you are charged from the second you have dialled the number, even if no one answers you are charged for ringing them, except Customer services. Another thing I found was, I was being charged for having "Auto update of date and time" switched on. It's in the Time or clock menu. If you do not want to waste credit on this, turn it off.
no, i think 450 and 453 is for something different but if you call 150 on your orange phone and ask customer service why this is happening to you, and then they might be able to give you a answer.
and it does not cost you to call customer service, it just comes out of your minutes i think.
