I am wondering why everyone at my school is choosing X. I am getting Y because I think the bird looks epic, but everyone says no one would want a bird with veins and blue illuminating eyes. Is this true.

Both are going to have Fairy Pokémon. That isn't going to be exclusive to one over the other. Yveltal and Xerneas are going to play incredibly small parts, and like all super rare like them, they won't even be a concern until very late I the game.
Sounds like the people you spoke to are just being stupid. "No one would want a bird with veins and blue illuminating eyes." Really? But rainbow-horn Bambi is totally cool? (I'm not hating. I'm just quipping.)
I picked Y just because I was initially going to go with X because X is a cool letter. I'm usually wrong when I get hunches in the way I did so I went with Y.
Ultimately it's not going to matter. You would need both to get all the Pokémon. While everyone is collecting the same types on X, they would have to trade with you get Y only Pokémon. They better start kissing up.
Well they are both considerably good games. Everyone probably likes Xerneas more because he's a Fairy-type and that type comfirmed to be super effective against Dragon-type. Another reason might be that, like my brother said, Mew-Two X looks better than Mew-Two Y. It may also just be that Pokemon X looks more appealing than Pokemon Y.
However, I agree with you more. I don't like the idea that Xerneas is a Fairy-type, and I certainly do not like the design for Mew-Two X. I like Yveltal's double-type combination, with it being Dark/Flying and all, and I especially like the the different features between games.
All in all, they are both good games. There really isn't too much of a difference between the two, except the Pokémon you can get and different features. But I still prefer Y over X.
Im getting x because mega mewtwo x and the exclusive Pokemon and that legendary deer Pokemon.
