Should it be scumbag A democrat or scumbag B republican? They are both disgusting individuals and the best candidates that the top financial institutions can buy but which one would be the least offensive? I don't tend to vote for a particular party so this question is for mostly independents.
Update:AgriCult you are very naïve or very young if you think either one of these people are in public service to serve anyone but themselves. Nobody that has even the tiniest amount of morality could speak from so many different positions as do these two. So, yes scumbags is appropriate! My guess is your in your 20’s or younger. No candidate is going to go against his financial backers and to think they would even consider doing so in favor of public interest is just so stupid it deserves no comment!

If you have decided to vote then either flip a coin or better yet I always vote out the incumbent if he hasn’t done anything that significantly benefits the country. There are some on this site that would say that Obama has benefited the country the facts don’t bear that out so give the other scumbag a shot and get ready to vote him out next time.
Why do you think they are scumbags? I'm an Obama supporter, but I don't think either of them are scumbags, actually. There's no evidence of that.
You're right that corporations donate to presidential campaigns, but that doesn't mean the candidates will cheat to help those companies once elected. The candidates are most motivated by VOTES from people. They became politicians because they believe in public service. The money side is a big part of it, but that's because politicians are in charge of the economy. Since we have the most powerful economy in the world, and we don't have people starving like it is in Africa, the politicians are looking out for us. They are doing pretty well.
So the question is, do you want increased power for corporations? (Romney)
Or increased education and health care? (Obama)
They're not scumbags. They just have different ideas of how to run the country. Really!
Anyone who still undecided by now may as well forget it. It should not take several months to a year to decide who to vote for, not after several debates and propaganda that the media has been drenching us with.
