My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost two years and he’s been sleeping over at my house every other weekend. We’ve slept in separate beds in different rooms of the house until recently. Recently my brother and his girl friend and my bf and I have all been sleeping in the same room, my dads knowledge is that my bro’s gf and I sleep in one bed and my bf and my bro sleep in another. But my bf and I have been sleeping in the same bed and my bro and his gf in the same bed as well. Today my dad found out accidentally that we’ve been not following those rules. He left pissed and hasn’t come back. My step mom has been yelling at us since even though she already knew. How can I defuse the situation and end it with as little repercussions as possible. I’m 19, with my own job , my own car and all my own stuff but I understand I’m still under his house and rules. Please help ASAP.

Do you seriously believe that they were not fully aware?
It sounds a bit extreme but could work in your favor? As your stepmom knew and so all she's doing is trying very badly to take your dads side, but don't let that upset you too much as you need her help. Tell her you'd like to have a chat with her that hopefully will help bring some peace back into the house. Tell her that if she'd agree, could she tell your dad that although you'd both done wrong, there's no way a brother and sister would actually have been having sex with their bf/gf while they were in the same room, clearly it doesn't make sense as, it's not as if you've raised the kids in a swingers atmosphere/household?
"we’ve been not following those rules" his house, his rules. you are so stupid. he acted the way he was supposed to act. you disrespected his home and his rules. terrible thing to do when you're over 18 and are supposed to be moved out by now and you're not even paying rent... you have your own job, your own car, just move out and then you won't have to disappoint and disrespect your father. there's nothing i can do to help you. start acting like a mindful adult. it also doesn't matter how long you've been with your boyfriend...
Not much you can do but let them cool off. Your parents 'shouldn't' be surprised at 19 you have decided to have sex but that doesn't mean they won't be. Parents can have a tough time accepting their little girl is grown up and doing adult stuff.
Ultimately, the answer is to move out on your own, there's not a lot they can say when you are living on your own.
