She won't kill it, but if the kitten is outside, it may need some help and intervention. A mother cat will not continue caring for her kittens when she is outside, and is often pregnant again. By about five weeks, she often abandons the kittens, and some mother cats will even go as far as to bring the kittens to a person they instinctually trust (that might be you).
If you see the kitten, again, try to capture it and bring it inside. If there are siblings, get them all. Kittens of 4 weeks or over can be brought inside the house and, even if they are wild, will come along and become tame within a couple days. Feed them canned cat food. Then, they can be adopted out to loving homes, and NOT BECOME wild kittens.
Is the mother a tame kitty, or a feral (wild, not trusting of humans), kitty? Feed Mom cat, too. Get an animal rescue league to help find a home for her. You can find them at your local pet supply stores on weekends, showing their pets.
No, she won't kill or even hurt her little baby. But it isn't a good idea to go around touching any stray animals. Especially baby strays you haven't got any idea if they are strays, ferals or just someone's lost pet. Because mama might be closeby and may attack you if she thinks you're going to hurt her baby. Just keep your distance, cross your fingers and hope the mama cat comes back to get her kitten. If she doesn't come within an hour or more, then you should ask an adult what you should do because if the mama cat died, or is too hurt to do anything, or if the baby is truly lost, some adult is going to have to figure out what to do with the kitten.
If u see the kitten again take it inside and any other siblings with it and if u want to keep them u can but I suggest you take it to the vet to get whatever shots it can and it be sent to an adoption center but whatever you do don't give it away for free unless u really trust the person because kittens are free snake food I know it's terrible but there are some sick people out there but if you do sell it make it 30$ or higher because nobody would pay that for snake food
Not usually, but the mom maybe moving them and this one may have gotten abandoned or lost. I'd keep on eye on it and see if the mom will come back for it. I had this happen a couple years ago. The baby ended up in the middle of the road and screamed for the mom, but she never came back. My sister is allergic so I found a "no kill"cat shelter and took her there.
The mother definitely will not kill it's kitten. It's only with birds and even then the mother bird will just leave it if u touch it.Anyways with cat and they're young they won't leave them so you don't have to worry I have seen many many many feral cats at our house with their kittens and they will not get upset as long as they trust you also DO NOT feed the kittens wet food because (although not many people know this) it is bad for them. Some dry food is just fine also don't feed them any table scraps because it is also bad for them Lastly if they are 1 to 7 weeks old give them some formula or if you find the mother get the mother to feed them.
No hunny don't worry! That may happen with certain birds, rabbits. or other animals, but not cats. However, if the kitten is alone, the mom may have abandoned her or may have been injured and might not come back. Watch to see if she returns, otherwise take the kitten to a vet/shelter/someone who can raise her healthily. DO NOT try to raise her/bring her back to health by yourself.
No. Mother cats do not leave baby kittens if a person touches or handles them. The only reason would be if the kitten is sick/dying or the mother got killed.
lol no, my cat gave birth 3 times, and me and my siblings always touch them, m cat is fine with it, but maybe that's because she knows we won't do harm to them. As long as she didn't see, its fine. And even if she DID see, don't worry about it. And even if she does kill it, which she probably won't, then it was the mom's decision, not yours, so don't feel guilty.
No, it is a wive's tale that mother animals reject or kill their young if they have human scent on it. The mother will simply move her kitten(s) to a new location.

No, most breeders handle their kittens from shortly after birth to help socialize them with humans. The kittens do fine!
