I inhaled Diethyl Ether 😬?
Today in my ochem lab we worked with diethyl ether. The smell was unbelievably strong to me, I had to step out. After class I felt light headed and could literally taste it in my mouth/throat for a couple hours after. It's now been 6-8 hours and I feel like vomiting..... is this normal when working with diethyl ether ??? Should I be concerned ?

Many years ago, when I was anesthetized for an operation with diethyl ether, it took several hours for the taste and other effects to go away. I doubt you were exposed to as much, since you didn't lose consciousness, but it still may take a while. Drink water and get as much fresh air as you can. Otherwise there isn't much you can do but wait.
