Does anyone else hate the "as long as it's healthy" cliché?

You know, you ask a pregnant woman/parent what gender they want and all they can say is. "just as long as it's healthy!" It's like they're scared that if they say what they want, but don't get it, that people will think that they won't love the baby. I wouldn't think that. Or if they say, "just as long as it's healthy! But if I had to pick I would want..." As if they are automatically programmed to chant that whenever someone asks them. Why can't people just say what they want without feeling like they have to be SO secretive about it? It's actually kind of a mean statement, if you think about it. I mean, so what if it's NOT healthy, would you still want it?

P.S. Of course, I realize that there are people out there that genuinely DO NOT care either way. If that's the case, then fine. (but that's usually not the case) =)

Update:

Lauren and Chikis: Yes, I have been pregnant and yes, I do have children.

Lauren: When did I say that gender was more important then health. Huh?
