So I cooked rice on Jan 29 and it’s February 3rd, if I froze it today would it increase the shelf life of the rice? Or should I just throw it away. I had a lot left I feel bad for trashing it.
If I do freeze it how long will it last, if it’s not already bad?

Cooked rice stored for too long can cause food poisoning as it can contain Bacillus cereus bacteria. You should store it in the fridge for no more than 1 day. So throw it away! Next time, cool and freeze it straight away.
It may already be kind of sour. Rice is very low acid and goes sour after a while.
toss it and make fresh. Next time freeze the left overs right away instead of letting them spoil first.
I wouldn't waste the time or effort to freeze anything that is beyond the time that it's safe/desirable to eat.Five day old rice isn't worth eating or preserving. It's probably mushy and mealy by now.I'd give it the heave-ho.
After 5 days in a fridge I would BIN IT. If you had put it in the freezer DAY ONE it would keep for lets say 4 months? I really wouldn't keep it longer even when its been frozen.
.
I make large batches of veg stew with rice and freeze portions in plastic containers but, by the time 2/3 months have come round I've eaten all of them.
toss it.
For the price of a bag of rice it is not worth getting sick.
Had you said that you made the rice yesterday I would say sure go ahead and freeze it but it is already 5 days old. I don't keep leftovers longer than 3 days or I freeze them right away if I know that I will not use them all within 3 days.
Forever.................
I freeze rice but I freeze it within 24 hours of making it.
You should have finished eating it within 5 days in the fridge. The refrigerator does not stop bacterial growth ..it only slows it down. And the freezer doesn't stop growth either, although it slows it down more.
The rice is probably JUST still okay to eat, but attempting to store it for longer, even in the freezer (and especially with defrosting it later) is NOT a good idea.
That rice should be thrown out. Yes, I feel badly when I have to trash food. Learn from it.
Food poisoning alert. Are you that poor that you have to refreeze something which is already well past it's eating date?
I wouldn't freeze it after that period of time. Believe it or not, rice apparently does go off quickly, so I've read. Just because it looks OK doesn't mean it is. I'd throw it out and cook a fresh batch.
I'm interested eating your rice
