Actually, the first answerer is correct ("yay" is a kind of strange way to describe the sound of 'ye' but I got the idea) and the second is partially wrong. It is pronounced kan-yeSH-na. Although ч represents the sound "ch" usually, in a few specific positions it actually is pronounced as a "sh" sound instead. This is one such word. Another common word is что which is usually pronounced as "shto". Of course, you can say "chto" but it sounds rather pedantic and stuck-up. Another word I can think of is сейчас which in typical speech gets shortened to "shas".

You are correct... it's 'kanyechna'...the unstressed 'o' is pronounced 'a' and the ' Ñ' is NOT pronounced 'sh'.
The 'sh' sound is given by 'Ш', and the 'e' is 'ye' not ''ya' ... that would be 'Я'.
It does mean 'certainly' or 'of course'.
It is pronounced like:
konechno
kan-YAYSH - na
stress the middle syllable
means sure, certainly
