Okay, I just got Adobe Photoshop CS4 and I'm trying to accomplish the glow effect like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwuuQ1BhhiE. I'm extremely new to this so it's a bit difficult but not impossible. How come after I've used the pen tool the black line is still there? How do I remove it so that I can see the Glow Effect only?
Thanks in Advance.
This is my first picture: http://tinypic.com/r/34j3j44/4
Can someone help me?
Update:Here's a bigger picture: http://tinypic.com/r/2199cb5/4.
That was my first picture now I'm on my second picture & trying to achieve the glow effect but on the second picture there's a black line in the center of the glow effect and I can't get it to go away.

Even on maximum zoom on the bigger pic there is not a black line evident on the glow effect.
A pic of the second pic is needed if that's the one with the black line.
The YouTube link goes to five pages of vids. Which one?
Did you use the pen tool to cut out the figures?
It's time consuming to get right.
Each time a point is inserted with the pen tool it can be adjusted for position with the up/down, left/right arrows.
There are quite a few segments of the outline which are not exact.
The outline is best positioned just inside the figure to be cut and a feathering radius of 2 to 3 pixels applied. The feathering helps the figure to blend in to the destination picture.
I've intended this criticism to be constructive so please don't take offense.
Some of my early work was much worse than yours.
Your picture is small. I can't see any black line on it.
