No worries, the school that you are attending will send you a schedule in the mail closer to the time the school year begins. There will be certain supplies that teachers will suggest for you to get during the first week of school, but here are the basics. If you don't have a backpack, that would be a good start. A good binder is good also, perhaps one that can hold your notebooks, but you will also have a locker. Six notebooks, one for each class, three subject notebooks are good. You may need to get more notebooks later on. A pack of number two pencils, and a pack of mechanical pencils are good, with erasers, even better. Blue/Black pens are good too. Depending on the level of math you are starting on you may need to get a ruler and a calculator. The calculator you need depends on the math class. For prealgebra, and algebra a regular one is fine. White out is good, because you will be writting essays, but you might want to check on this one, because some schools have banned white out, and sharpies for the school campus.
Basic materials are pencils and pens. Also filler paper that you can put in binders.
Many of my teachers told me the first day of school what kind of notebook we would need. Some said binders with the loose leaf paper because we would get lots of handouts. Others said normal 5 subject notebooks would be fine. So it depends.
Usually you need a calculator for math.
I my school, we got our schedule in homeroom.
same old same old:
composition books or spiral-ring notebooks
bigger binders with dividers
pens pencils, erasers
paper, college-ruled
On the first day, you usually have a homeroom that's posted by the office. You go there and they give you your schedule.
Yourself and a clear mind would help!
Writing utensils: pens, pencils, erasers, whiteouts.
Paper: blank and ruled.
Other: ruler, scissors (depending on where you are, this may not be allowed in schools), paper clips.
Scientific calculator.
Combination lock.
A smile!
