HELP! Is açaí berry allowed at Phase 1 in South Beach Diet?

I'm planning to start this diet but this is a critical point for me. Here in Brazil I eat a lot of Açaí berry, processed. It has, per 4 oz, about 1 oz of carbs, 0.10 oz of total fat. Also as known it is great for cholesterol and a 4 oz serving can give you almost 20% of daily needs of fiber. This diet is far from being popular here, I don't have a lot of info about local food.

So, can I? If I can, what's the quantity (in volume)? Will I have to sacrifice anything?

I'll give the best answer, will not forget. REALLY NEED THIS HELP. HEEEELLLPP!

Update:

Damn! I'm not interested in any "miraculous" properties from açaí berry, neither following any fashion diet here. This is bullshit from north american insdustry. It's a really healthy fruit with strong vitamin quantities as many others. I'm just asking for nutritional informations in this diet I'm following!

I eat açaí everyday just because of the culture here, it's a daily habit, so it would be really hard to avoid.

Soooooooo, can I eat it? In which quantities?
