1) The numbers are doubling every time. 8x2=16, 16x2=32, 32x2= 64. So the answer is C.
2) 16/-2=-8, -8/-2=4, 4/-2=-2, -2/-2=1. So the answer is A.
3) The numbers are increasing by 2 each time. 7+2=9, 9+2=11, 11+2=13. So the answer is true.
:)
1. pattern seems to be that each term is 2^(n -1) for n = 1, 2, 3,...
so for n = 5, 2^4 = 16
for n = 6, 2^5 = 32
for n = 7, 2^6 = 64
2) each successive term is reduced by a factor of -2, divide previous number by -2
16 --> 16/-2 = -8, --> -8/-2 = 4, --> 4/-2 = -2, --> -2/-2 = 1
3) these are the consecutive odd integers so true.
1. C. 16, 32, 64 is correct.
2. A. Divide the previous number by - 2 is correct.
3. True.
use your logic!
if you think about it in the sequence 1,2,4,8... to get from each term to the next you are multiply by 2 therefore the next term is 8x2 so 16, then 16x2 so 32, then 32x2 so 64 making the answer c
next one:
you need to work out what has happened to the 16 to take it to -8 and then check this is right for the rest
so lets try A. if you do 16/-2 you get -8 then if you do -8/-2 you get 4 because the two minus signs cancel out
therefore the answer is a
and for 3 can you see how they are odd numbers, therefore it is is true
1. A
2. D
3. True.
