Find the horizontal and vertical asymptotes of the curve.
y = (2 + x^4)/(x^2 − x^4)
x=?(smallest x value)
x=0 (got this answer)
y= (largest x value)

V asymptotes will be for values of x which result in zero in the denominator with a non-zero numerator.
This will be when x = 0, x = 1 and x = -1
H asymptotes will be the values y approaches when x approaches +/- infinity
For very large values of x, the 2 is negligible so the function becomes
x^4/(x^2 - x^4)
divide numerator and denominator by x^2
x^2(1 - x^2) which becomes x^2/-x^2 = -1
y = -1 is the H asymptote
vertical asymptotes are where the denominator = 0, horizontal asymptotes are what happen as limit x->inf and x-> -inf
