Your biggest acute problem is the bacteria or parasite for which you are taking the medicine. If you don't follow the directions, the medication may not work... so your original problem will GET WORSE. You may as well not take the medication at all.
Furthermore, combining alcohol with the medication may make you sick, such as nausea and vomiting which, can cause bleeding problems and end you up in the hospital.
However, your BIGGEST problem is that you are probably an alcoholic. Anybody who cannot forego alcohol in accordance with doctor's orders, has a serious problem.
