Do you think that the the United States will ever see an evolution from the present two party system into a system wherein there is a viable third party capable of winning an election?
Why would it be an "evolution" to move to a 3 party system? The United States has become the most powerful Nation in the world, and we did it in less than 200 years. How does having a three party system make things better?
Do you forget that the country did not start out with Republicans and Democrats? Wigs and Torries were the parties of the day, formed from the Federalists and the State Rights groups, Republicans and Democrats eventually formed and replaced older failing groups.
This could be the year. People are sick of both parties. I swore I would never vote for another Democrat after Clinton signed NAFTA. I am very close to that with the Republican's for the same reason's + $4.00 gallon gas.
effectively speaking, we don't have a 2 social gathering gadget anymore concerning the Presidential election - there are concerning the comparable type of "self reliant" voters as Republican or Democratic. We merely want an self reliant candidate which will entice one million/3 of the Republican or Democrat voters. that should equivalent fifty one% of the votes.
I think someday people will get so sick of EVERY politician being out for themslevs and a crook and will elect someone who has never set foot in politics and is not part of a party.

Not if they see it as a devolution.
A third party only succeeds in taking votes from one of the other two parties. It rarely, if ever, has any chance of actually winning.
So, I'm sorry, but Ron Paul and Nadar will never accomplish anything more than that.
