Choosing to believe in something does not make it reality.
To answer your question... .no... I would LOVE to believe that there is a supernatural person thats going to make it all better one day, but my logic will not allow me to do so.
conversion doesnt always happen with a single profession of faith for example.
conversion might happen in an instant and one might be faithful all his days to a small, conversion or a partial conversion, but in such intermediate steps, full conversion happens when one forsakes all sin and no longer can be tempted of his own lusts.
to want to believe in God is not a full converse but a simple desire and hope for something that is greater but yet unseen or unrealized. imo
Actually, when God moves in your heart you chose to believe or not to believe. Every time you reject his wooing your heart becomes a bit harder and less able to respond to the light that he gives.
Atheists are unwilling to believe. They have shut their eyes tight and stopped up their ears lest they see or hear the truth.
