Witness are not proof against historical events. Such a suggestion is ridiculous. Most of history is backed only by written witness accounts. To suggest that such accounts are evidence that something did not happen would be absolutely ludicrous.
The Bible is not only supported by eyewitnesses, but these witnesses were willing to suffer rather than change their story.
One might suffer if they knew what they said was true, but few (if any) would suffer when they knew the things they said was just a fable, or was a lie.
The fact early Christians were willing to suffer rather than change what they claimed to have seen indicates they were telling the truth.
In addition, many of these accounts are supported by historical accounts, archeology, and other fields of study.
Add to this other evidence and it can be seen these witnesses were true!
This evidence includes prophecy and fulfillment, scientific foreknowledge found in the scriptures, unity within the scriptures, etc.
We can be assured the scriptures were more than fables, but rather true!
The "three headed elephant" story is not supported by such evidence!

Yes, OF COURSE it's proof. Duh!!!!!!!
ARE YOU REALLY TRYING TO PUT YOURSELF ABOVE GOD'S WORD THE HOLY BIBLE FOR A SO-CALLED BOOK OF NON SENSE???
GOD TRULY HOLDS BACK WISDOM FROM THE SO-CALLED WISE AND GIVE'S IT TO THE HUMBLE AS GOD SAID HE WOULD HERE!!!
No, because you would be lying. That does not establish that the authors of the gospels and the epistles were lying. Think again, if you are able.
No, that's not proof.
That's supporting evidence
unless
you admit publicly that the document is fiction
in which case it is not supporting evidence.
Eye witness testimony, when properly documented and confirmed, is proof, indeed.

I'm just relieved as hell that somebody else finally admits to seeing that elephant go to the moon.
No. You would need to convince them that the book is two thousand years old.
