If the team is mixed boys and girls, then the sport must be non-contact sports such as swimming, cycling, golf, or archery, even athletics. The number of boys and girls in each opposing team must be the same, wherein a girl in one team is the opponent, or marker of a female in the other team. If the girls want to be marked by a male, then the team can expect the female to be outmaneourved, outsmarted and a mile behind the male in a cycling race, or other form of non-contact sport. Any male competing against a female is not permitted to lower his game and sporting skills and standards simply because he suddenly feels sorry for his female opponents inability to outdo him, or at least keep up with him in the competition. He may as well compete with himself, which is not likely to be an inspiring challenge for him, at all.
Men's sports are usually the standard. Women's sports are mostly about giving the average woman the chance to play sports, because if they had to compete with men for a spot on a coed team that doesn't have gender quotas, women would probably never get to play. Most women just do not have a high enough testosterone level to be strong enough to compete with men.
However, if a female with extraordinary ability shows the potential to compete with the big boys, I see no reason why she shouldn't be given the chance to do so...considering that most people don't take women's sports seriously, and any person with extreme talent shouldn't be relegated to a venue that holds them back only based on their gender and not on their ability.
