Can you give me three good reasons why they shouldn't? It would firstly depend on the sport - on a golf team, it wouldn't make any difference. On a rowing or paddling team it wouldn't make any difference. The only time it could be a problem is in contact sports because most guys are bigger and heavier than most girls of the same age.
