can sodium coated anode be used to produce x-rays!???
It has a low melting point so will melt. Also, it has a low atomic number so would be inefficient.
Theoretically it could be used, but the usable life would probably be only a few seconds. What would be the point?
Tungsten (generally embedded in copper) is ideal and is used for all commercial X-ray tubes as far as I know.
Any material would .. the spectrum and efficiency will be different ..
