although i can’t see my doctor face to face, we meet over a virtual appointment this afternoon and she thinks i may have hemorrhoids due to my rectal bleeding and clotting, constipation, and pain. she’s put me on laxative for a week, but I’ve started to notice my symptoms are different from what I can find online.
I’ve been bloating and cramping all afternoon, and I haven’t taken the laxative yet. can hemorrhoids cause abdominal pain?

No but constipation will. Your colon is going into spasm trying to force out the poo. Gas builds up due to the colon not moving properly, gas causes bloating.
Take the laxitives, it might cause more cramping but when you are empty it will all settle down.
