Physics questions:
A car traveling with a velocity of 23 m/s is
accelerated uniformly at 1.6 m/s
2
for 6.4 s.
What is its final velocity?
Answer in units of m/s
And
A particle accelerates from rest at 2.3 m/s
2
.
What is its speed 3.1 s after the particle
starts moving?
Answer in units of m/s
Please help ;___;
Update:The 2 right after the line of the m/s means m/s^2 (squared)

For the first one, final velocity is equal to starting velocity plus acceleration times time.
Final Velocity = V
Starting Velocity = v
Acceleration = a
Time = t
V = v + at
V = (23m/s) + (1.6m/s^2)(6.4s)
V = 33.24 m/s
For the second one, same thing. Velocity is equal to starting velocity plus acceleration times time.
V = v + at
V = (0) + (2.3m/s^2)(3.1s)
V = 7.13 m/s
Hope that helps :)
