ugh. so this has really been stressing me out lately someone PLEASE help me.
as a freshman, my brother passed away, so my grades starting slipping from the very beginning I ended up with 2 d’s, 2 c’s, and like the rest b’s or something. I was just really distracted after he died, and could’t concentrate, and I really didn’t care. now as a sophomore my parents divorced, and I got one d, one a, and the rest c’s and b’s.. do you think that I could even get into college? i’m super stressed about this now, could I get into like a state college or something? or just community?

Same kind of thing happened to me. One thing colleges look at is improvement. If you improve, colleges will think you ahve what it takes to get past adversity. Also, your personal problems, such as the death of your brother, can make a very interesting essay topic when you apply for colleges. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
Well I talked to some college professors and most of them said colleges only look at the second semester of sophomore year, all of junior year, and first semester of senior year. It may not be the same everywhere so don't hold me to that. Anyways, I think if you start getting better grades and getting really involved in your school by joining clubs or sports you could still get into a good college, possibly a university ? Colleges like when students are in a bunch of clubs and sports and advanced classes and whatnot. I don't have the most knowledge on this subject, this is all I got. Best of luck ! (:
