There is no missing £, The shop owner gave him £5 to give back, not £6
that's weird how it appears that they buy for £30, then assistant gives back £5 to make £25 but 3+2=5 so no missing£'s, but 3x9=27+2=29, strange
Nothing happened to the missing pound because a pound is not missing, lets see...
starting price = £30.00
new price = £25.00
refund price = £5.00
assistant kept £2.00
gave back 3 x £1.00
total is £5.00 what was refunded
So theTV was sold for the discounted price of £25.00 + refund equal to £30.00 ..so there is no missing pound its way its said
making it read like, 3x 9 +2= 29
i remember my dad telling this riddle years ago!
it is the way you count it!
like counting five fingers on your one hand by saying "10,9,8,7,6" plus 5 on the other hand makes 11!
