You can close your eyes and visualize amazing and strange lands where mermaids bathe in rivers of chocolate and furry forest creatures sleep together in warm furry piles, paws up in the air. Where people are true and a brave heart is all you need to set off on a voyage of wonder and discovery.
So… why do we need television?

How wonderful it is not to identify with the mind. A raccoon’s view of the mind from a distance must be a discovery wonder. Mermaids bathe in rivers of chocolate? Your right who needs TV? Under that fur and behind that cute little face is a wild imagination. Paws up in the air?
Just think of all us humans who identify with the mind and false ego idea. What a pity.
Some people don't have a very strong imagination. Books can help them with the imagery if they can't come up with it on their own. And there are many other sources besides television for entertaining the mind with fantasy. TV is just an easy way to show a great variety of imaginary creatures and places in less time. Of course, there isn't that much of it on TV any more because it's been replaced with a flood of brain-dead "reality" shows. Remember good old Saturday morning cartoons? It's a thing of the past.
Television? What's that???? (LOL) Live in an area for 22 years where you can only pick up two channels - and they didn't run cable to the area. You'll find out just how much you can do with your mind. So it was very easy to get rid of when the government said I have to start paying to watch the crap that's on it now.
(Oh geez - the whole part about people being true is harder to imagine than rivers of chocolate! LOL)
Some people are exquisitely skilled at visualizing with their minds. To get into their excellent minds, we need television.
(Unfortunately, though, qualifications for entry into television are extremely low today, making it largely a sad wasteland and tool of brainwashers and other manipulators.)
Television is responsible for all the problems of our society not caused by religion. It is "needed" by the government to hide bleakness of reality from the majority.
