Would you please check my Spanish and help me with pretérito?
I'm supposed to fill in the blank with the correct past form of the verb in parenthesis. Did I do these three right?
1. Ayer Ernesto __hizo__ arroz con pollo. (hacer)
2. Primero le __preguntó__ la receta a su madre. (pedir)
3. Luego __fue__ al supermercado y compró los ingredientes. (ir)
Then, how would I do these two, I can't figure out for sure.
4. Como no ____ cebollas, _____ que ir al supermercado. (conseguir, tener)
5. Cuando ___ a su casa, ____ a preparar la cena. (llegar, empezar)

This is written in story form. The subject the whole way through is Ernesto. There is no indication of the subject being changed.
# 2 you conjugated the wrong verb, You need to use the one in parenthesis.
#4 and 5 there are two verbs and two spaces, the first verb goes in the first space and the second one goes in the second space.
