No doctor would tell you this. Do you owe them the money (from this or previous visits/treatment)? Do you have insurance? Did you recently have blood work done, even, that you have not gotten results for? Was it actually the doctor’s office that called you or some ‘billing company’?
If they ran the test a doctor would tell you. They might not be willing to treat it until they are getting paid. But they would tell you what they knew.
This sounds like a scam to me.
You can keep your doctor if you like. Affordable health care indeed.
Suprisingly, this sh17 like this happens a lot. Hell, there is a recent news article that talks about Hospitals and doctors sueing patients if the leave a bad review of the hosptial or the doctor.
Honestly, if you want to see real gree and corruption just look at our completely unregulated healthcare industry. My grandfather had an asthma attack. He went to the E.R. and they charged him $5,000 just for some anti-histime/pure oxegyn treatment that he had for 5 minutes. He was only at the hospital for 25 minutes total.
I'm in Canada, eh! Married with two kids and in the last 25 years I have spent $60 out-of-pocket on Medical Care....try it, you will like it!
The caller had an east India accent, right?
that sounds like a scam and not a real doctor's office at all
