....ONE QUESTION, ...
Q 1. Is Taurus the only manufacturer that builds a polymer revolver? ~ If no, what is/are the other brand/s?

The Ruger LCR is a polymer frame. In fact, it came out before the Taurus. Smith DOES make a polymer frame revolver, the Bodyguard 38 SKU 103037.

others mentioned the other brands, out of them I think the Ruger LCR in .357 mag is the best one as it give you the ability to use 38's too and i just like Ruger better then the rest, especially more then the Taurus!
only thing to watch out for is I have had a few Rugers LCR's come in with a bad cylinder relases button, you can tell right away when you first push it in if its messed up, I have sent two back for that button issue at the place I work at but we sell a ton of them so I guess 2 isnt a bad number and its a fairly mild easy to detect issue, just play with the button a bit before you take one home.
Ruger and S&W both make one. There was a rumor that EAA was going to have something like their Windicator in polymer but I haven't seen anything about it in any of my channels yet. Taurus would be my 4th choice if I had to buy a polymer revolver.
Ruger's RCR in .22, .22WMR. 38spl. & .357 mag.
u can look it up just as easy as anyone else. i'm sure your mom would say the same thing an be proud of your accomplishment.
