The battery needs charging, the alternator needs to be replaced, or both.
I Googled & it seems yours is not an uncommon problem. Check to make sure the wire connections are all good.

I think you might want to edit your category for a decent answer.
If it is electrically engaged check the switch and solenoid before doing anything else, try giving both a light tap. Sounds daft but often works.
