I am also sorry to hear this as he was one of the better people around here. Although never a contact he and i answered many questions on each other and shared a great laugh from time to time. He will sorely be missed.
Still yet another reason for me to stay away as we sometimes get far too attached here and when the good and great people leave, they are replaced with losers and trolls.
So long Russell. GOD BLESS
May the greatest treasures in heaven be yours to share as you did the treasures upon earth in words and wisdom.
If we all stay here long enough, we may see more of our friends pass. But the best part is, we've become close to people that we will never meet in real life that have nevertheless touched our lives and our hearts. And though our hearts are broken, we are better people because of our close, dear friends.
I will miss Russ, too. He was a sweet man and I loved talking to him and seeing him here.
Some you can be prepared for, therefore, not shocked...like, I wouldn't be shocked if Patrick Swayze died fairly soon or Amy Whinehouse...just a couple of examples.
i guess because death is sort of "far away" to us because for the most part, we like to think we won't die until we're really old and have done everything we need to do....and you can never prepare for someones death...even when you know they're sick/dying...because it's so final....it's like how can they be here one minute and gone the next? and where did they go? what did it feel like? were they scared? i dunno, those are all questions i ask myself every time i hear someone has died....it's a pretty scary thought...
