Why don´t Mormons or Jehova´s Witnesses go door to door in Spain - they stop people in the street instead?
I´m not complaining, BTW!
It´s just that in The UK I´ve seen them go knocking on doors, but in Spain, both Mormons and the JWs walk around the streets and stop people, then request an invite to visit your home if you are interested. Is there a reason for this? Soliciting door to door is not illegal here, and neither is it particularly dangerous to go to someone´s house. Is there a reason for this quirk?
Update:@Sue G - also interesting - so they do sometimes knock on doors. I´ve been here 13 years and have so far not seen that.

Jehovah's Witness here: We most definitely do go from door to door in Spain, I have some very good friends there and so I can say that for a fact.
If you have not had a personal visit it could be because you live in a secure building where access is limited or in an area where there are few witnesses or have a schedule that means you have been absent during the call.
Never been to Spain but In pictures the Streets look Full of people, so they must be more likely to find people on the street than in their houses.
Also, Maybe it's because you can't have a door slammed in your face on the streets

Amazing really, because I'm English and live halfway up a mountain in rural Spain. How did they know to send someone who spoke English ? - Now that's dedication !
No same in Spain as in UK or anywhere else where we are not persecuted by governments for preaching the good news about Christ.
Maybe the Spanish Mormons & JW's are vampires. Don't all vampires need invites into people's homes before they can enter?
Oh please Mormon missionaries have been on my Methodist campus and computers and I was stopped by Mormon Elders in walmart. The Elders even show up in my church to pass out LDS tracts.

It's not just in Spain that they do it! It is all over the world! Yet their zeal is misguided. I wish those who believed in Christianity had as much zeal to spread the right truth of Christ than allow those who spread error and falsehoods. Where is the zeal of the LORD?
They just started doing that since I started putting them all in my basement.
If you tell them you are a heathen they don't come back, ever.
